A well made product for the price. I am new to black powder but have shot modern rifles and pistols for years. My first two shots made a single hole at 30 yards while standing on uneven ground and bracing from a walking stick. Point of impact was about 3" from point of aim. This was right out of the box: Unpack, assemble the barrel to stock, run a patch down the bore and load. Mine is the .50 cal. percussion. Shoots better than I can hold. There are some small gaps between the stock inleting and metal side-plates but the parts do fit flush and this is a mass produced product. Given that this was the lowest price rifle of this type I could find, I can''t down-grade it for that. Stock and metal are nicely finished. Overall construction seems very rugged. An excellent value.
